About Me

I am a woman trying to be inspired!  I have an amazing husband and two marvelous kids, ages 17 and 14.  It’s hard to believe that I’m saying two teenagers are marvelous, but they are.  Somewhere along the way, my husband and I did something right!  I think I’m a great mother but I’m a lousy housekeeper.  There I said it.  I’m terrible.  In fact, I may be one of the worst housekeepers on the planet.  Luckily, I have a husband who likes to clean.  However, I do try, and one of my goals with this blog is to “be accountable” to my improvement in household organization.  We’ll see how that goes…

I am also a teacher.  I love working with kids and feel blessed everyday to get to do a job that I love!  I work at a private school in Tampa, Florida.  Currently I teach world geography, but I have taught English and art in the past.  I also work for the International Baccalaureate Organization in professional development with teachers and verification of programs at schools.  That part of my “job” allows me to travel to different places in North America, seeing awesome sites and meeting fabulous people.

I want to write a novel.  In fact, I have been writing a novel for the past seven years.  Originally, I wanted to finish it by the time I was forty, but that deadline has long passed.  My sister, who is a “life coach,” is constantly encouraging my writing, and, in fact, this blog was her idea.  Hopefully, writing more often will help me get past my creative obstacles…perhaps I’ll share some snippets on here.
